Chemring Energetics UK (CEUK) is a global business providing a range of equipment based on energetic materials for defence, civil defence and key commercial customers.

An exciting opportunity has arisen within CEUK for a Production Operator within our Chemicals department.

Responding to the Team Leaders, the Production Operator will be responsible for the safe undertaking of all production activities within the Chemicals area.

**Key Accountabilities & Duties**:

- Carry out all activities in full compliance with H&SE legislation, within company policy and procedure.
- Responsible for reporting any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed (using the Near Miss System) in accordance with responsibilities under the Health and Safety at work Act.
- To ensure appropriate PPE requirements are met when working in each area.
- Work in accordance with all site rules and regulations.
- To ensure that all tasks are undertaken in full compliance with the operating instruction and any associated manufacturing documents
- To demonstrate competence in all tasks undertaken through successful completion of the associated training and competence assessment including an understanding of the hazards, risks and controls associated with the task being undertaken
- To report any unsafe acts or unsafe conditions observed to line management
- To maintain the appropriate levels of housekeeping for your work area.

**Qualifications/ Experience**:

- Experience in a production environment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Basic numeracy skills
- Basic literacy skills
- Experience with use of engineering equipment and HMI control panels (desirable)
- Driving licence (desirable)

Production Operator - £23,548 - £24,986 per annum upon completion of 12 months training.
