**Salary £23,240 per annum, pro-rata.**

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Catering Assistant to join our team in providing a high quality dining experience for patients, families, visitors, students and staff at Strathcarron Hospice.

You must have well developed communication skills, be able to work well in a small team and be able to demonstrate your ability to relate to the public in a caring setting. We are seeking someone who is passionate about developing within their role to gain more cooking skills and knowledge.

Previous experience of working in a catering environment is essential, preferably in a healthcare setting and applicants should also hold an intermediate food hygiene certificate or be willing to get this.

The working hours are 22 per week over 3 days working every other weekend, these will consist of a mixture of early shifts 0700-1430 and late shifts 1100-1900.

Training and supervision will be an integral part of the post holder’s development.
