**Reporting to**: Project Manager

**Location**:NEWCIS offices in Flintshire (Mold) and Denbighshire (Rhyl) & Home working.

**This role is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.**

**PURPOSE OF ROLE**:
To organise and plan Activities and Events in accordance with the aims and objectives of the Connecting carers to the Community Project.

Success in the post requires a commitment to supporting people living in the community with long term conditions and their carers and to working in partnership, to plan and deliver services.

To promote and liaise with the team to recruit volunteers for the organisations.

**MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Plan and organise meetings, Groups, and activities with the team in the local communities including respite retreats where carers feel safe to unwind
- Support with the provision of providing carer breaks working across the 3 county areas
- Work as part of the team to attend and support groups and activities
- Contribute to service development supporting the promotion of activities and sharing any events with our communications officer
- To contact Carers and Families about groups and events
- Ensure priorities for carers are in line with the outcomes required by the project
- To ensure that procedures are in place to record and report on essential information accurately including case studies, in line with the monitoring and reporting requirements of the service and in accordance with data protection legislation.
- To ensure that barriers for those who find services difficult to access are actively minimised, providing a welcoming service
- Complete Risk Assessments for events and activities
- Undertake any other duties and responsibility commensurate with the post.

**Job Type**: Part-time
