- Cashbook Clerk - Accrington £23,200 p.a. + many benefits. Working as a key part of our finance team to maintain and reconcile the company bank accounts and financial ledgers, supporting and liaising with retail stores on cashbook process, and ensuring processing deadlines are met and policies and procedures upheld.- The Role - Cashbook ClerkWe are currently looking for an experienced Cashbook Clerk to join our finance team. Daily responsibilities include:

- Bank Reconciliation of all revenue streams including card, cash and finance income.
- Escalation of non-resolved banking issues to the Cashbook Manager in a timely manner.
- Processing of customer returns, cancellations, allowances and vouchers.
- Input and reconciliation of finance payments & investigating finance differences.
- Administration of chargebacks.
- Investigation of aged customer creditors and debtors.
- Various other administrative tasks required by the Department.
- General knowledge of company procedures and systems.
- Raising ad-hoc payments.

Skills neededWe are looking for a Cashbook Clerk with the following skills, experience and attributes to be successful in this role:

- A strong team player, who can work in a diverse team within a dynamic environment.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups / pivots etc.) and preferably experience of using a financial package such as Syspro/CODA/Sage etc.
- Able to use own initiative and manage your time to get things done.
- Good decision making and problem solving.
- Maintains enthusiasm and perseverance towards meeting deadlines and resolving outstanding queries.

Ultimately, you'll be self-driven, inquisitive with a positive outlook and can maintain high standards. A natural forward planner who is credible and comfortable communicating with people at all levels. Reliable, resilient and determined with a flexible approach to work.
