Laser Setter Operator

**Job description**:
**Weekend shift laser setter operator**

Your main duties will involve the setting and operating of an Amada fibre laser cutting machine, cutting material such as mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, brass, copper and more. The company is an established 35+ year successful enterprise with long standing staff, specialising in sheet metal engineering.

Duties include:

- Setting and operating an Amada laser cutting machine
- Cutting sheet steel, up to 25mm in thickness
- Working with stainless steel, mild steel, brass, aluminium, copper and more
- Helping and assisting with maintaining the machinery when required
- Forklift driving is an essential part of the role
- Using the computer system with Amada nesting software (training can be given)
- Any other duties as required
- Knowledge of setting and operating an Amada punching machine will be a great advantage however training can be given
- Ability to communicate clearly and positively with production supervisors is essential

**Job Types**: Night shift weekend work, Permanent

**Salary**: £16.00-£17.00 per hour
- Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 6pm to 6am
