Job Description

About Us

The King’s community is dedicated to the service of society. Our ambitious Education Strategy sets out the actions that we must take to transform how we teach, how and where our students learn and how we support them during their time with us.

We pride ourselves on being the trusted partner of choice in sourcing and developing talent for organisations around the world. King’s Careers & Employability seeks to enable and empower students, recent alumni, and researchers from all disciplines and walks of life, to gain the knowledge, skills and experiences they need to effectively navigate their lives and careers after university and achieve lifelong success. Our Work-based Learning unit brings together our King’s Internships and Global Placements teams, supporting students and employers to undertake meaningful work experiences across a range of provision, developing innovative partnerships and opportunities for key student demographics.

In doing so, you’ll be expected to increase student participation, support further inclusive practices in our delivery, and be responsible for engaging with other Employer Engagement teams.

This post will be offered on an indefinite contract.

- Close working and collaboration with colleagues to build relationships with relevant organisations, curating and developing suitable experiences and coordinating the advertisement of meaningful work and related events to service users.
- Maintaining accurate records in the King’s CareerConnect content management system (and other related systems), including tracking of opportunities, employer leads, relevant agreements and outcomes for students against graduate outcomes and careers registration data.
- Responding to queries in a timely manner, providing relevant information and producing reports and recommendations efficiently and effectively for stakeholders and senior managers.
- Participating in regular meetings with team members and other forums as appropriate keeping abreast of current and future developments in the graduate labour market (including recruitment practices, attraction and engagement strategies), sharing knowledge with senior managers and colleagues.
