Rheumatology Consultant

This appointment will facilitate and ensure continuity of the exemplary Rheumatology service already provided at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust

The post is based at Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust (SRFT). SRFT covers a population of around 220,000 people, with over 1 million inpatient and day case admissions, outpatient appointments and community contacts for patients per year. The Trust has a focus on quality improvement and safety, aiming to be the safest organisation in the NHS through providing safe, clean and personal care to every patient, every time.

The Post holder will undertake 4.5 Rheumatology clinics per week in an outpatient setting,
including at least 3 general rheumatology clinics. Additional clinics will reflect the interest of
the appointee
The post holder will also undertake weekly ward round and review new admissions or
unstable patients on an ad hoc basis. The post holder will provide clinical advice and support
for ward referrals.
