Following the landmark Africa Energies Summit and a strong first year for the Membership program and Innovate Energies Summit as well as the Energy 2050 Summit we are growing fast and require a Conference Content Specialist to join our dynamic team.

This exciting role will play an important part in identifying and delivering exceptional, cutting edge content and formats for existing Summits and help us forge the profile for new in-person Summits and online Summits and events.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:

- **
- Develop the annual Summits and events programmes in line with the strategic plan and agreed budget and timelines to ensure that Summits and events are delivered successfully.
- Conduct market & industry research to develop commercially viable, market leading agendas.
- Be proficient at topic generation and research for Summits and events.
- Competent copy writer for programmes, marketing and articles.
- Research, approach and secure speakers to fill the programmes in line with deadlines / targets.
- Continually develop your professional network through research, attending Summits and events, networking platforms etc.
- Build data & identify relevant communities to engage with.
- Help the different departments to organise event marketing, promotional campaign, publicity, brochures, articles and any related campaigns.
- Liaising with senior business professionals to develop understanding of the key challenges faced.
- With at least 3 years of proven business experience, you possess excellent interviewing and research skills and the ability to meet tough deadlines.
- Have input and assist in the attraction and delivery of sponsorship, partnership, exhibition & delegate sales.
- Develop ideas for content and work with external contractors and sponsors/members to create whitepapers, reports, infographics, webinars, podcasts, etc.
- Speak to senior executives to determine key challenges and trends in the energy Industry / the energy transition.
- Develop ideas for new content.
- Assess marketing and target audience engagement during the event campaigns to ensure project will achieve agreed revenue targets.

**REQUIREMENTS:

- An interest in entrepreneurial business opportunities.
- An accomplished networker - someone who can develop relationships, be the public face of the organization when required.
- An innovative thinker - for both topics and formats - this is a content producer across the board not a logístical event producer.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in designing business Summits and events.
- Exceptional writing and negotiation skills to effectively communicate the USPs of Summits.
- A content strategist - less of the one-off products, maximise content opportunities, repurpose content and make sure that they are on message with rest of organization.
- With 3 years + of proven business experience, you possess excellent interviewing and research skills and the ability to meet tough deadlines.
- You have proven experience of identifying new business trends, writing compelling copy and communicating with senior business personnel.
- Excellent research skills.
- You have excellent organisational skills the proven ability to manage multiple projects.
- Well-developed problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
- You have a strong academic background and are highly ambitious, team-oriented and commercially focused.
- Strategic thinking to map out future opportunities and be ahead of our competitors.
