At Honda we embrace inclusion in our various policies, so whilst our contracts state that the hours are as required to fulfil the role with a minimum of 35 hours per week, we offer flexibility for when you work. The regular office hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Monday to Thursday with a half hour lunch break & 08:00 - 13:00 on a Friday. However, we offer flexibility of when you work with our daily flex-time start of between 07:00 and 11:00 providing that there is no business requirement.

Whilst there is no contractual right to work from home, the flexibility we offer is that you can request to work from home for a maximum of 50% of the working days in any one month, again providing there is no business requirement to attend the office.

**Role**:
Reporting to the Technical Operations Section Manager, your role will be to work as part of a team responsible for ensuring readiness for introduction of new models and the provision of service material to the Branches, Distributors and Dealer network.

This role requires an in-depth knowledge of the new model development process and a comprehensive technical understanding to accurately explain to R&D and factories the requirement of customers. Working alongside other members in Technical Operations, the role includes collaboration with other departments in HME, Branches and Distributors.

**Main Responsibilities**:

- Providing technical expertise in projects to deliver after-sales solutions to the dealer network and working to adhere to changes in regulations regarding provision of aftersales technical and repair information.
- Responding to requests from HM New Model Service Division to ensure clear understanding of customer requirement into the new model reflection cycle.
- Preparing market information to support successful launch of new models.
- Responsibility for Honda's Automobile and Motorcycle Loan Tool Program ensuring that the scheme is operated efficiently through communication with the service provider to a level of service that meets the SLA.
- Dealing with escalated user enquires for MaRIS Pay & Go, the RMI delivery system to Independent Operators and preparing material to meet the legal regulations.

**Qualifications, skills and experience required/desirable**:

- Technically qualified in a mechanical engineering / technical discipline.
- High level of technical competence and ability to transfer that knowledge to a wider audience.
- In depth understanding of the new model development cycle and the milestones to ensure item reflection.
- Highly computer literate and numerate.
- Full understanding of vehicle systems and diagnostics and ability to integrate on vehicle.
- Able to easily build relationships internally and externally.
- Customer focussed and able to present information to reflect market requirements.
