We are seeking skilled ceramics instructors with a passion for both pottery wheel
techniques and hand-building methods to enhance our educational offerings. Ideal

remunerated for teaching time as well as for additional hours dedicated to lesson
preparation, classroom setup, and cleanup.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Proficiency in wheel throwing, surface design, glazing, clay lifecycle, and hand
- building techniques such as coil, pinch, and slab construction.
- Assist with the firing of student creations, including the efficient loading and
unloading of kilns.
- Conduct preparations before sessions and manage cleanup operations
afterwards.
- Ensure the ceramics studio remains tidy and well-organized.
- Address class-related queries from students and the local community.
- Teach through diverse demonstration methods to accommodate different
learning styles.
Additional Duties/Responsibilities:
- Commitment to punctuality.
- Willingness to adapt to varying workloads as needed.
- Maintain a positive and respectful demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrate flexibility, excellent time management, and prioritization skills.
Basic Qualifications:
- A varied portfolio that reflects a wide array of ceramic techniques and styles.
- In-depth knowledge of pottery and ceramics, including proficiency with kiln
operation.
- Experience teaching individuals across various age groups and from diverse
backgrounds.
- (Preferably) Previous experience in planning, managing, or coordinating art
- related programs, though not mandatory.
Schedule:
- Flexible shifts ranging between 6-8 hours, including day, evening, and weekend
options.
- Hourly rate starting from £16 to £25, based on experience and expertise.

- Certificate of Higher Education (preferred)
**Experience**:
- Ceramics: 3 years (preferred)
