We’re hiring for a **Goods in Inspector** to join a skilled and experienced workforce at their ultra-modern manufacturing facility based in **Stockport. **With over a century of engineering experience behind them, they have established themselves as genuine pioneers of innovation, with their employees being at the heart of their business.

- £30,000 - £34,000 per year
- Monday - Thursday 7.45am - 4.15pm (Friday 7.45am - 12.45pm_

**What will you be doing as a Goods In Inspector?**
- Carrying out inspections for all component parts entering the company
- Identifying and recording any non-conformances to specification requirements
- Generating internal inspection reports
- Reviewing of all external inspection reports and certification to ensure required standards are being met
- Reduce goods inwards inspection frequency by identifying positive compliance trends found in accurate inspection records
- Ensuring that all inspection equipment is maintained, calibrated and stored in a correct manner
- Working with quality, production and engineering departments to determine the most efficient goods inwards inspection criteria and methods
- Supporting the identification of the capability of the inspection equipment
- Maintaining the quarantine area
- Providing data to establish goods inwards inspection KPIs
- Maintaining documentation control requirements
- Communicating with internal and external customers

**What do you need?**
- Technical Engineering/Craft apprenticeship
- Experience with using visual inspection methods in order to measure mechanical and electrical components to drawings and specifications
- An understanding of how to operate MRP, ERP, CAQ systems (e.g. SAP/Babtec)
- Experience with working to ISO9001, 140001 & 45001 (or equivalent)
- Familiarity with Microsoft programmes (Word and Excel)
- Experienced in first article, line and final inspections
- The ability to produce reports in line with inspections
- Previous good in inspection experience (desired)
- Familiarity with vehicle sub-systems (desirable)
- FLT license (desirable)

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £30,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
