IT Manager

We are searching for an experienced IT Manager to join our Education client in North West London.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced IT Manager to join my client’s team and be responsible for the school’s ICT infrastructure. This is a varied role in which you will manage a team of two technicians and support teaching and support staff in providingan environment in which their pupils can thrive.

**The IT Manager will be accountable for**:

- The support of School's ICT systems.
- Ensuring deadlines are met and delivered to the quality defined by the school or GDST Trust Office
- Leading and managing technical staff
- Delegated budgetary management as defined by the school
- Implementing and testing new systems or services

**IT Manager - key responsibilities**:

- Support and train staff in their use of ICT systems
- Ensure incidents are managed and resolved using a service desk tool
- Manage the performance and professional development of the ICT technical team
- Manage systems Changes in a structured and documented way
- Manage a register of ICT Assets
- Manage and plan the refresh cycle of school IT hardware
- To work with the Trust Central ICT team in managing issues escalated to the GDST Service Desk
- Ensure appropriate troubleshooting is undertaken and actions documented prior to escalating an incident to the GDST service desk
- Ensure ICT systems can securely support the Teaching, Learning, and the Administration of the school
- Ensure School ICT responsibilities are performed in line with the Responsibilities matrix agreed with the Trust office
- To conduct presentations and compile reports
- To be responsible for the management of all ICT systems within the school

**IT Manager - knowledge base**:

- Microsoft Windows Operating Systems
- Expert working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2012 R2, 2016-2019, Active Directory and Group Policies Administration
- Strong Hardware knowledge
- Working knowledge of Google Chromebooks

**IT Manager - experience required**:

- A strong IT technical background of at least five years implementing, supporting and administering Windows environments
- Proven experience in server and network infrastructure
- Experience of Google Workspaces
- Experience in managing a technical team
- Awareness of project management methodology
