Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to move into the Electric Vehicle (EV) sector?
Fourblue are working with a company who are passionate about the electric vehicle revolution and sustainability. Providing deep knowledge of the sector and an ambition to help the UK transition towards decarbonisation. Providing Electric Vehicle (EV) solutionsto businesses, local authorities, and drivers. Due to growth within the company, they are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the operational side of the business, reporting into the Pre-construction Manager.

The role is field based. You will need to report into the London office 1-2 times a month and staying away when required.
Responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor:

- Liaise with the operations team to establish either full turnkey or packaged works offer best value and control
- Liaise with the operational management team and advise on all matters relating to Contract and Commercial issues
- Maintain accurate financial control systems and report monthly on Cost/Value Reconciliation of all projects
- Preparation of cost plans and budget estimates
- Preparing cost reports and cash flows
- Estimating cost variations, assessing value for money
- Preparing, regulating, and analysing costs for tenders and contracts
- Preparing and analysing monthly reports for the performance of the operations department.
- Liaise with and advise on all financial aspects of contracts, ensuring that valuations of work completed are submitted, certified, and paid on time
- Monitor progress on site with the field operations team and take a lead issuing required notices in accordance with contract procedures and timescales
- Manage subcontractors accounts accurately and effectively to enhance contract performance
Criteria for the Quantity Surveyor:

- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Possess technical qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Construction / Contractual law would be an advantage, or relevant industry experience as a time served professional
- Possess a working knowledge of JCT, NEC contracts
