We are recruiting experienced Support Workers in the Penrith and Cumbria area (or those willing to travel there) to work with vulnerable children in our client's fantastic, nurturing residential setting.

This is an ongoing agency (temporary) role which involves a ‘live in’ arrangement for anywhere between 3-6 days in every week. The day time shift (8am-11pm) is paid at £11 per hour, with the sleep in part of the shift (11pm-8am) is paid at a flat rate of £30. You only ‘live in’ for the number of days you have agreed to work.

The beauty of it being an agency role is that it offers the maximum flexibility. Whether you want to do three shifts to fit around the other areas of your life, or you want to work the maximum number of shifts, you tell us your availability and we’ll try and arrange work to fit in with that availability.

This role would suit someone who:

- Has previous experience working with children in social care
- Has previous experience working in a residential setting
- Is passionate about offering children the highest standard of care and support
- Has a DBS registered on the update system (we can help you with this if you don’t already have it)
- Has a valid children’s safeguarding training certificate (again, we can help you with this if you don’t have up to date training)
- Is adventurous and likes the outdoors
- Is open to working a minimum of three full days and nights per week
- Is looking for flexibility
