A well regarded Primary School at the heart of the community in Redruth are seeking to appoint an experienced HLTA to work Monday to Friday (08.30 to 15.30 - 30.33 hours), term time only. This is an exciting opportunity to join a school which firmly believesin continuous development and that children and adults need to feel safe before they are able to progress with their learning. The school is part of a values-led MAT that is committed to improving children’s lives and giving learners the best start possiblein life.
The main purpose of the role is to help deliver lessons as part of the curriculum with full support from the teaching staff. You will also have the opportunity to contribute to the assessment of pupils whilst also raising standards of pupil attainment and behaviour.You may also be providing teaching cover yourself under the direction of teaching staff.
Duties and responsibilities are varied and include preparing and planning resources and activities in accordance with lesson plans whilst also delivering interesting teaching and learning activities. Other duties will include supporting and guiding other lessexperienced TAs and participation in staff meetings and training days. Other activities will include escorting pupils on visits and journeys, providing support and assistance for children’s pastoral needs as in sickness or injury and maintaining supportiverelationships with parents/carers.
