_Small World Kindergarten is a private day nursery, within the Christchurch Park area and within walking distance of town and its various transport links (10 minutes). Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ in May 2021 and set in a purpose-built nursery, It provides high quality care and education for up to 40 children between 11months and 5 years term time or all year._

We need an individual who is motivated and will work well in a team of highly skilled and qualified Early Years Professionals.

Ideally this role would be full time (but a part time job share could be considered). We can offer **37.5 - 40 hours per week** - with a fixed work pattern, with a combination of shift times that include 8-13:00, 8:30 -4:30 & 8.00am-6.00pm.

Your Hourly rate is dependant on experience.

**Your Role**:

- Depending on your experience and preference, you would either be caring for and interacting with the children in the pre-school room or with the toddlers and babies in their room, ensuring their personal and hygiene needs are met.
- Ensuring the children are happy, settled and content.
- Observing, assessing, and planning for the children’s individual needs, ensuring their development is continuously monitored and create opportunities for children to progress.
- Creating and implementing positive parent partnerships by communicating effectively and giving regular updates ensuring your child’s progress is recorded via our learning journey app ‘EyLog’ (training provided).
- You will be role modelling your knowledge and best practice to colleagues and delivering the best learning opportunities to our children.
- As part of the team you will ensure your room is always the best it can be in line with our Core Values.
- Implementing great health, safety and wellbeing of the children at all times
- Help the smooth day-to-day running of the nursery by adhering to the relevant policies and procedures.

**About you**:

- You must already have experience of working in a nursery (Minimum 1 Year)
- You will hold a full and relevant childcare qualification, minimum **Level 3 in Childcare or Montessori Diploma**.
- knowledge of the current EYFS
- Knowledge and understanding of safeguarding/child protection
- Passion to deliver high quality childcare and exciting learning opportunities
- Strong Communication skills - good command of spoken and written English.

Although we follow a Montessori approach to education, which is child centred and prioritises quality interactions between adult and child, Montessori materials and setting, you do not have to have a Montessori qualification but an interest in it’s theory is helpful, but can be learned easily by observation.

The nursery has two well equipped classrooms, a kitchen and sleep room downstairs. Upstairs we have a large bright office and staff room with toilet and kitchenette.
