**Support Worker role in Worksop**
Cristal Care are now recruiting Support staff to join our Supported Living service based in Langold, Worksop.
**Flexipay is available, meaning staff will get paid the week after picking up their shift.**
The role of a Support worker with Cristal care is varied from day to day and extremely rewarding.
The individuals we support are at the heart of what we do, we provide enabling support to people with learning disabilities and autism to promote their dignity, individuality, and to help people to fulfil their potential in life. Here at Cristal Care, we want to promote people’s skills and social inclusion and we need dedicated caring people to be a part of our team.
**Key duties**:
- Supporting individuals to understand and manage their tenancies.
- Supporting individuals to manage their finances including budgeting, paying utility and tenancy related bills
- Providing one to one support to individuals to enable them to complete tasks such as housekeeping, cooking, domestic tasks, attending appointments, laundry, and shopping
- Communicating with colleagues to co-ordinate support and update plans
- Developing and sustaining a positive working relationship with individuals that you support
- Maintaining good records of delivered care and relevant information
- Ensuring that individuals are participating in person centred activities, based on an individual’s wants and needs. This could include swimming, trips to the seaside, local walks etc, based on what the individual likes to do
- Ensuring that personal care needs are met in accordance with their care and support plan
- Supporting the individuals, we support to develop and maintain meaningful relationships
**Desirable skills/experience**:
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate with individuals at all levels, including but not limited to, families, external professionals etc
- Good documentation skills
- Experience supporting/caring for others, especially those with a learning disability which could be experience through employment, voluntary work or family experience
- Health and social care level 2 or 3 is desirable but not essential as we do offer training and recognised qualifications
- For those wishing to embark on a career within care and don’t feel you have experience, we do offer a comprehensive training package and, on the job, mentoring from a skilled and experienced team
