The Department of Childhood, Youth and Community offers a suite of courses to include the BA Hons Early Childhood Studies, Education Studies and Working with Children and Young People. In addition, we deliver in conjunction with Asian International College (AIC) Singapore a Masters in Education and a Diploma of Higher Education in Pre-School Education with Guangdong Teachers College of Foreign Language and Arts.

We are seeking to appoint an administrator to join our department on a part time fixed term contract. This will be to support our Early years career and progression Pathway Project (EYCPP) that is embedded across all courses within the department working with our experienced colleagues, partners and students in the delivery of the programme and its outcomes.

As an administrator you will need to be motivated, well organised and passionate about supporting delivery of the project. You will have real energy and passion for the project and its outcomes. You will support the day-to-day delivery of the project including sign ups to meet targets, communications to students and staff of project and partnership working. Undertake a wide range of administrative and office support activities to support the team and department. Maintain high standards of administration for a range of projects / activities.

The role includes working across the department to promote the EYCPP project we offer. Providing support and enabling students to become part of the project and engage with the offer of learning and materials to support their progression into employment. You will be supported to develop research, enterprise and scholarly activities which are integral to the post. The role involves collaborating with colleagues, and supporting students’ pastoral, learning and assessment needs relevant to the project.

Applicants must hold a first degree, ideally a postgraduate qualification and relevant experience.
