Recycling Operative
Hourly Rate - £10.42 per hour (plus overtime and benefits)
Hours - 41 hours per week

As a Recycling Operative at FCC Environment, we will train you to deliver a high standard of customer service to the public by actively encouraging reuse and recycling and assisting with their waste disposal.

What will you be doing?
- Operating the Recycling Centre safely, efficiently and in line with procedures and policies
- Ensuring that the highest standard of customer care is maintained at all times
- Ensuring the site is operated in accordance with the service delivery plan and contract requirements
- Actively promoting the principles of reuse, identifying and intercepting reusable items in conjunction with our charity partners
- Actively encouraging users of the sites to reuse before recycling
- Ensuring that site daily inspections are undertaken and recorded appropriately in accordance with permits and procedures
- Monitoring container usage and providing the Recycling Team Leader with daily reports
- Ensuring all plant and equipment safety checks and inspections are carried and reported
- Ensuring all chargeable waste is identified and appropriate charges applied
- Ensuring all sales procedures are followed and recorded in line with company policy
- Assisting with the identification of unlawful deposit of commercial waste
- Recording start and finish times each day
