**Job summary**

Confidental has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional who is CIPD qualified to join our management team. The role will require you to develop and deliver our people strategy. The role will require flexibility to lead on key projects and undertake some case management.

A mediation or coaching qualification is preferred but not essential.

This role has an in-office working pattern. Your base will be our Dental Practice in Sandhurst.

**Main duties and responsibilities of the job**

1. To ensure partnership working between teams and line managers on the management of daily tasks.

2. Contribute to the development and delivery of team tasks. Take pro-active measures where appropriate to ensure indicators are met and maintained.

3. Ensure that any team risks and issues are flagged in a timely manner.

4.To contribute towards the development, promotion, implementation and delivery of training in HR Policies and Procedures to ensure a skilled and competent workforce.

5. To contribute towards the development and implementation of improvement plans for our team.

**Job responsibilities**

Interpret, analyse and provide expert advice on employment matters requiring tact and diplomacy.

Manage own caseload; deploy appropriate techniques in order to obtain evidence and facts utilising open questioning, clarification, advanced listening, persuasion and influencing skills to ensure the facts are clear.

To support the development and monitoring of appropriate performance targets/standards with the involvement of staff and ensure that there are mechanisms in place to audit them and produce regular performance reports.

Responsible as a line manager for individuals, undertaking appraisals, performance and absence management processes, disciplinary and grievance matters, allocating team workload where necessary. The post holder will have to ensure the most effective and efficient deployment of the staff resource to achieve the service objectives.

To deliver a customer focused and user friendly service which provides accurate, timely, professional advice and maximises the use of appropriate technology and resources.

**Person Specification**
- Essential_
- Degree or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- CIPD qualified
- 5+ years of experience in a people management role
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of leading and motivating teams
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to solve problems and make informed decisions
- Demonstrated experience with performance management and employee development
- Able to advise on case management issues related to terms and conditions, discipline, capability or grievance
- Excellent Communication Skills and the ability to communicate at all levels:

- Experience of setting performance standards and targets
- Desirable_
- Excellent mediation skills proven in bringing resolution to conflict situations
