Job Title: SEN Teacher

Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire

Start Date: ASAP

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver engaging and effective lessons to pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties and academic delay
- Help pupils to work towards their Level 2 Functional English and Functional Maths qualifications
- Manage behaviour effectively and provide a safe and supportive learning environment for all pupils
- Work closely with the class teacher and two TA's to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils
- Plan and prepare engaging and effective lessons that meet the needs of all pupils in the class
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of pupil progress and development

**Requirements**:

- Qualified Teacher Status
- A background working in a pupil referral unit or with challenging behaviour
- Confidence in managing behaviour effectively
- A passion for helping pupils to succeed and reach their full potential
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work well as part of a team
- A Team Teach qualification would be a benefit but not essential

This is a full-time role with the potential to become permanent on contract with the school. The class size is small with around 10 pupils and the school is committed to providing a supportive and inclusive learning environment for all.
