**Role Description**:
**The Team**:
This position is on Production Control Level 2 team. Production Control Level 2 role sits within a wider team, Mainframe, iSeries and Production Control, totalling 18 currently at Chester UK.
- Team - Strong and Experienced Technical Mainframe Batch Break-Fix Team located at US, UK and Singapore.
- 1st & 2nst Level Support - Accountable for timely batch processing of mainframe technology clients (Line of Business)
- 24x7x365 Batch Operations - Support & manage batch jobs on multitude of Mainframe Production, Pre-Production & UAT environments.
- Monitor & Break-Fix - Implement correct and timely fixes to all (mainframe) production job abends related IT Operations.

Training will be provided on the job. Further training opportunities will be made available as progression is made.

**Core Skills**:

- Experience of console operations work experience in a multi-platform data center.
- Technical experiences should include operator knowledge of JES2/JES3, along with MVS commands. The ability to navigate and provide operator level control over CICS.
- Knowledge of standard mainframe tools such as: MAINVIEW, Omegamon, Tivoli, SA/Zos, CAO, OPS/MVS, TMON, NETVIEW, TBSM, and HMC
- A working knowledge of VTAM/SNA, IPL and POR procedures is required.
- Experience with ticketing tools such as BMC Remedy.
