**Your new company**
You will be joining an established organisation which places the service user at the heart of everything they do. This organisation is focused on supporting vulnerable people in the community. This organisation primarily supports service users are whose liveshave been held back by a range of social deprivation.
**Your new role**
In addition to the role and responsibilities specified below, as the Barnet Social Worker Lead, your role will involve enhancing professional networks and partnerships as well as developing resources and interventions to improve the experience of people usingour services.
- To provide regular co-location within the Local Authority with view to offering specialist advice across all social work teams and ensuring service representation at relevant decision-making forums for families in need of support from the service.
- Work directly with adult and young people service users, including their wider families as identified, offering time-limited family focused interventions with an emphasis on reducing risk, building resilience and improving relationships. This may includedirect or indirect age appropriate interventions with children and young people.
- Deliver psychosocial and education-based workshops/groups to families and carers, including sessions on how alcohol and drug use effects the family, coping mechanisms, dealing with crisis, exploring and enhancing social support.
- Lead local monthly safeguarding meetings to ensure professional development and an arena to discuss complex cases
- Be committed to professional and ethical practice as set out by regulatory body, Social Work England, and maintain professional registration

**What you'll need to succeed**:

- Must hold HCPC registration
- Would of worked in a similar role working with clients who have substance misuse addictions.
