**The role**:
We are looking for an experienced bookbinder with extensive knowledge of different binding and hand finishing processes to join our team at our Central London bindery and print workshop. We expect to pay a salary of £25,000 to £35,000, but will consider paying more for an exceptionally experienced bookbinder.

**Essential characteristics**:
Knowledge in all hand bookbinding processes, from receiving flat sheets to section sewing, making cases and book repair in various materials
- Box making in various styles
- Using hand foil blocking machines
- Hand tooling
- Advising on potential solutions and options for customer projects (problem solving)
- Working in a small team
- Ability to estimate:

- Short run case making
- Box making, ring binders and interscrew binders
- Bespoke projects
- Book repair (both cloth and leather)
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
- Ability to use estimating system
- Be comfortable with starting work early. The hours would be 7.30am - 4pm (Monday to Friday) with the occasional need to work overtime when facing very tight deadlines
- Have a desire to continue to learn new skills. Further training on additional processes may be required

**Holiday Allowance**: 25 days + standard UK bank holidays
