Position: Community Centre Assistant Supervisor.

Location: North Queen Street Community Centre, Belfast.

Hours of Work: Part-time, Evenings, 17:00 - 21:00.

**Your Duties**:
The Community Centre Assistant Supervisor will report to the Community Centre Supervisor, ensuring the smooth operation of facility access, responding to public inquiries, maintaining cleanliness standards, and upholding the overall appearance of the building and its surroundings. Additionally, they will assist in generating necessary documentation, reports, and official returns while acting as a key holder for the premises.

**Your Duties**:

- Responding to routine inquiries from community groups or the general public.
- Assisting with booking forms and maintaining a desk diary of booking requests.
- Handling booking money, issuing receipts, and maintaining cash security.
- Completing and submitting documentation, reports, and official returns.
- Setting up equipment and furniture for bookings.
- Acting as a key holder, responsible for opening and closing the centre and controlling access.
- Conducting Health and Safety checks and emergency procedures.
- Handling supplies and materials, including inventory management.
- Reporting repairs and defects, carrying out minor repairs when necessary.
- Assisting in setting up new equipment and furniture.
- Ensuring cleanliness and hygiene standards are met throughout the centre.
- Participating in training and induction activities.
- Contributing to a teamwork approach within the centre.
- Adhering to council policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

**Your Profile**:
**Experience**:

- Relevant experience in facility operation, health and safety procedures, cleaning, maintenance, and administrative duties.
- Experience in dealing with members of the public.
- Special Skills and Attributes:

- Strong team working skills and ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated customer care skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Sound decision-making abilities.
- Awareness of health and safety responsibilities.

**Short-listing Criterion**:

- Applicants should demonstrate at least one year of relevant experience in both facility operation and public interaction.
