**Setter/Operator**

Search are proud to be working with a exciting company on their search for a Setter/Operator to join their growing facility based in Newton Aycliffe. Your primary purpose of the role is to program, set & operate machinery in line with design specifications, quality standards & training matrices.

This role is a permanent opportunity on a Monday to Friday day shift.

**Responsibilities**
- To liaise closely with production leadership in order to clearly understand and agree production objectives.
- To ensure team, individual targets & objective are met in line with agreed dates
- Performing efficient & reliable welding of various metal objects in line with the required quality standards.
- Evaluate engineering drawings and ensure their implementation according to the required specification.
- Carry out all required safety checks & ensure documentation is completed in line with standards and regulations.
- Perform all pressing, punching & fabrication tasks using various equipment & technologies. Transfer material within the factory as required.
- Carry out TPM on machines in line with the companies protocol and liaise with Leadership for any repairs or required services.
- Demonstrate a solutions orientated behaviour & a "Can Do" attitude with regard to problem solving and decision making & assist all other production areas as required.
- To be aware of health and safety requirements and ensure that operators within your team are working in compliance with health & safety policies and procedures and that a safe working environment is maintained.

**Experience**
- Experience with Press machinery
- Experience with Punch machinery
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good numeracy and computer skills.
- Clear communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- A 'can do' and 'right first time' approach.
- Ability to work as part of a team and encourage co-operation is essential.
