We are seeking a paediatrician with expertise in Neonatology that could augment the current provision of services within the Department.

The post is built around a 10 programmed activity job plan

When on attending weeks, the post holder covers the neonatal unit from 8 am to 5 pm rotating on a 10 week cycle incorporating 2 attending weeks as consultant of the week on the neonatal unit and additional attending shifts on the transitional care unit. This will be shared with four other full time Consultants (ie 5 wte in total).

Non-attending weeks include outpatient clinics, administrative sessions and SPA following the outline job plan below. One clinic per week will be a neonatal clinic and one clinic per week will be a general paediatric clinic (or clinic in an area of subspecialty interest).

Out of hours on call commitment is at Croydon University Hospital only with frequency of 1: 13 with internal cover. When on call, the post holder is required to cross cover Neonatology, General Paediatrics, and PED. When on call, the post holder is required to be on site until 22:00 hrs to ensure compliance with London Quality standards of on
- site consultant presence during hours of peak activity.

Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provide hospital and community services from a number of community and specialist clinics throughout Croydon.

**These include**:

- Croydon University Hospital
- Purley Hospital
- The Sickle Cell and Thalassaemia Centre in Thornton Heath
- Community bases at Purley, Sanderstead, New Addington, Broad Green, Woodside
- A minor injuries unit in New Addington
