Bridge is a peer support programme which links volunteers who may have recovered from alcohol and/or drug misuse with members who have, or who are recovering from serious substance misuse problems. Bridge also provides a range of activities, events and support and our outstanding teams include recovery workers who support our members to sustain their recovery, as well as staff who specialise in advice and guidance on benefits, housing, and employment.

We currently have a vacancy for a part time Recovery Worker in our Wellingborough office.

**Roles and Responsibilities**:

- To provide support to individual members including organising daily and weekly activities in an environment that will aid their recovery and wellbeing
- Work closely and cooperatively with colleagues and collaborate with external partners to ensure the ongoing support of our members
- Communicate effectively and professionally with members and colleagues at all times in a person-centred, non-judgmental way
- Manage safeguarding and risk matters with the Designated Safeguarding Lead
- Administrative duties as required, including updating the client database.

- Understand substance misuse issues and the impact on the individuals and society
- To work as part of a team and with a range of different organisations
- An understanding of how to support members through life changes
- The ability to communicate and engage with vulnerable people in a non-judgmental way
- Be open to learning from, and sharing your knowledge and experience with, your colleagues.

**Job Types**: Permanent, Part-time
Part-time hours: 16 per week

**Salary**: £12.08 per hour

- working with drug & alcohol addiction: 2 years (preferred)
