Key Purpose:
To provide personalised employability and skills support to unemployed participants. Equipping local people with the skills necessary to build their confidence, undertake training, and access new job opportunities.

Main Tasks:

- To work with project participants to create bespoke pathways to inclusion, participation, and employment.
- To recruit project participants to a caseload and develop an action plan with them, identifying potential targets and milestones.
- To provide coaching, mentoring, and advice to support participants toward achieving these milestones and engaging in activities such as training, work experience, and volunteering.

Support 1. To support participants from across Norfolk to access employment volunteering, training, learning and development opportunities.

2. To develop, manage and review a caseload of participants ensuring that everyone makes progress towards agreed milestones.

3. To support participants to overcome practical barriers to attending training, work experience or interviews e.g., considering transport solutions and childcare needs.

5. To support participants to access engagement activities such as arts and sports to build confidence and other soft skills required in the world of work.

Partnerships 6. To develop robust and effective working relationships with each of the project delivery partners and the lead partner, Norfolk County Council.

7. To facilitate the day-to-day activities of the project by making appropriate and timely referrals to other organisations.

8. To work with partners to ensure that the uptake of the service is equitably shared across the project, including helping to manage the initial referrals.

9. To identify any gaps in local service provision for their participants and to raise these with their manager and district reference group to try to develop appropriate provision locally.

10. To work positively with local employers and other key stakeholders, helping to promote the project to open up training, work placement and job opportunities.

Knowledge 11. To develop an understanding of the local labour market and to use this to offer relevant advice and support to participants seeking employment.

12. To develop knowledge of local provision offered by statutory and voluntary providers that can be used to help participants progress within the project.

Reporting 13. To attend and contribute to regular practitioner and network meetings, and to represent the project and organisation.

14. To supply performance management data as required by the funding body, lead partner, and/or the management team.
