Armstrong After Care Services Limited is recruiting carers who are highly dedicated to providing care and support services for elderly and disabled people. We cater to clients in Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire, thus applicants must be willing to work at any of these locations. As a carer, you will be responsible for providing personal care services, including bathing, dressing, and toileting. You will also have to support clients in their daily activities and assist with medication management.

Job Overview:
As a Support Worker for Home Care, you will be responsible for providing personalized support and care to individuals in their homes. This will include assisting with daily living tasks, improving their quality of life, and promoting their independence. You will work closely with individuals with disabilities, the elderly, and those with health conditions. You will provide companionship, emotional support, and help patients to maintain their independence and dignity.

**Responsibilities**:

- Providing personal care, which includes assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Helping the patient with mobility, which includes assisting them with walking, transferring, and exercising.
- Preparing and providing meals, and ensuring that the patient is following dietary requirements.
- Administering medication and other treatments as directed by the healthcare professional.
- Providing companionship, emotional support, and ensuring that the patient's safety and comfort are maintained.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals and family members to ensure that the patient's care plan is effective and up to date.
- Ensuring that the patient's health and safety are maintained at all times.
- Developing and maintaining good communication with the patient, providing feedback to the healthcare team regarding the patient's condition and progress.

Qualifications:

- A degree or diploma in nursing or related field is a plus.
- Experience in home care services is highly recommended.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively in high-stress situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect the patient’s privacy
- Providing personal care services to clients, including bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Meeting the daily needs of clients and providing support in daily activities.
- Assisting with the management of medications.
- Maintaining proper documentation of care services rendered.
- Prior experience in a care role is preferred.
- Willingness to work throughout Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Buckinghamshire.
- Ability to communicate effectively both with clients and their families.
- Must have a compassionate and patient attitude.
