Working on the National Lottery funded project, a workshop mentor is required to work with young people and adults to help increase skills and wellebing through the repair and restoration of donated furniture ready for sale within the Furniture Works reatil unit.

**Duties & responsibilities**:
**Client Contact**
- Prepare & arrange activities in line with client needs and abilities, working on donated pieces of furniture.
- Encourage participation for all clients, organising group work or individual work as needed
- Engage with and discuss with clients plans and designs for each project (both donated furniture & commission pieces)
- Development of creative projects and pieces
- Guidance and supervision of hand tools and machinery (as appropriate)
- Work with staff & clients to collect and deliver furniture (as appropriate)
- Support all clients to achieve personal results in line with goals
- Cover as needed within the retail unit.
- One to one discussions as needed with clients
- Work with workshop staff and volunteers in line with ongoing projects and need within retail unit.

**General**
- Liaise and network with other agencies & employers to promote service
- Work towards projected profiles for overall project
- Ensure all areas are clean after use
- Assist other staff as and when required

**Salary**: £25,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

Work Location: In person
