Sam Turner & Sons are a Northallerton based family business with 4 stores around North Yorkshire and the North East plus an active online presence. We sell a huge range of products to customers across the UK with the sale, repair and service of garden machinery being a particular speciality. We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and focused individual to join our team as a Administrator within our garden machinery department.

The garden machinery department can be a very busy part of the business depending on the time of year so the ability to work under calmly under pressure is essential. You will be responsible to the Garden Machinery Department Manager working as part of the wider customer service and administration team. This is fast moving and changing department where there can be opportunities for progression.

**What are my responsibilities?**
- Gain a working knowledge of Sam Turner & Sons products, understanding the standards to which we work when providing customer service.
- Answering the Workshop phone and dealing with the ensuing enquiry.
- Booking jobs and administrating jobs on the computer system.
- Processing warranty workshop work accordingly to claim payment from the relevant manufacturer.
- Registering the sale of new product with the relevant manufacturer to ensure rebates are claimed.
- Anything else that assists in the smooth operation of the garden machinery department from an administration and customer service perspective.

**What skills are required?**
- Strong organisational skills will need to be evidenced along with basic IT skills.
- Experience with Office packages (Spreadsheets, Word Documemts, etc.)
- The role is could be described as roughly 40% customer service 60% administration, depending on the time or year.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Part-time hours: 16-42.5 per week

**Salary**: £23,000.00-£24,000.00 per year
