**Cloud Engineer - AZURE - security - infrastructure**

**Location: Surrey (hybrid/remote)**

**Pay rate: £85,000 basic + 20% bonus and package**

**The Role**:
You will be joining Insurance Consulting and Technology at an exciting time of transformation as we work on improving the delivery of value for customers and the business. You’ll be working in the Technology Delivery organisation within the Platform CoreTeam.

Our responsibility is to secure, support, deliver and manage business critical services hosted within the Cloud that are used 24×7 by our clients and colleagues around the world.

As part of a focused team, you will be working to better secure and maintain our complex Azure environments, deliver new solutions, provide support and collaborate with global support and engineering colleagues.

This role is open to flexible and hybrid working arrangements, preferably with presence in the Reigate office as required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Deliver Azure cloud-based resources, solutions, and services for systems within ICT deployed globally
- Support continuous improvement of cloud technologies including automation, IaaC and Security by Design
- Assist on developing Security standards and policy implementations
- Day to day handling of requests, covering system administration, operations governance, threat/vulnerability management and incident response
- Collaborating with engineering and development teams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions
- facilitate the deployment and improvements to azure secure infrastructure

**Requirements**:

- Demonstratable in-depth experience of designing, supporting, securing and building Azure cloud solutions
- Experience with a DevOps concept in a cloud environment
- Experience of Host, Network and Permitter Security design and implementation.
- Have a working knowledge of Identify and Access Management within Azure.
- Familiar with Pulumi, ARM templates or other Infrastructure as Code technologies
- Advantageous to be experienced in automation or scripting e.g. PowerShell or similar
- Good documentation and communication skills

**Beneficial**
- Knowledge of Puppet, Wiz, Github and Azure DevOps
- Experience in AWS
- Experience with IaaC utilising C#
- Experience of a security operations function within a complex environment
- A good grasp on cybersecurity standards and frameworks e.g. ISO27001, NIST, CIS, OWASP, SOC2
- Qualified in AZ - especially AZ-500
