New exciting opportunity working for a lead global insurer as an Interim Technical Accountant/ Manager. Based in the city of London in this hybrid working role, you will assist the Technical Accounts Manager with all aspects of Technical Accounting for HGSUK - Single Risks. In addition, you will ensure that the credit control process operates efficiently and effectively, with key deliverables being met. Furthermore, acting as the central point of contact between underwriters, brokers and relevant 3rd parties.Finally, provide a 1st class service to underwriters and claims with regards to administration of the risks they write and upon request be able to provide a comprehensive analysis of risks using various reporting tools.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

- Ensure Xchanging error handling process and related tasks are maintained and where necessary developments made.
- Ensure correct data entry and correction of errors in our accounting entries through liaising with other areas of the business including Underwriters and Claims departments.
- Management of the policy life cycle to ensure production, analysis and investigation of all risk are completed within timescales set out by management.
- All aspects of premium are accounted correctly in accordance to the underwriters original estimate and where endorsements and financial contract changes are identified ensure these are amended by the relevant underwriting departments.
- Responsible for the identification and accurate booking and allocation of premiums and associated insurance transactions.
- Accurate booking of bordereau and effective administration of claims funds
- Take responsibility for the credit control of accounts assigned inclusive of booked debtor chasing, pipeline debt outstanding, delinked debtors and survey collections.
- Take ownership of more complex reconciliation problems & guide others so that they are resolved to meet credit control and appropriate service standards.
- Ensure NOC process administered in line with procedure to assist with collection of ageing debtors.
- Ensure all payments requests are actioned within the agreed timeframes.
- Effective and efficient control and response to the daily correspondence receive from internal and external stakeholders for accounts assigned
- Administration of team shared mailboxes to ensure all correspondence addressed within agreed department timeframes.
- Build working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Qualifications and Experience:

- Minimum of good A-Level standard education with relevant post - education experience.
- Industry recognised qualifications (e.g. AAT ACII) or working towards preferred but not essential.
- Previous Insurance Accounting experience within the London Market Insurance industry is essential.

Desirable:

- Previous Insurance Accounting experience, particularly in the London Market.
- Knowledge of London Market Claims process.
- Proven knowledge of Xchanging systems and functionality.
- Have proven IT skills, with particular attention to the use of Excel.
- Proven ability to resolve Insurance Accounting queries and issues.
- Ability to extract Finance information from a slip and understand how this should be booked within our core system.
