Intensive community support for dementia team are looking to recruit a highly motivated, flexible support worker for a full-time role of shifts. The role involves caring for patients that have a diagnosis of dementia that are in crisis within the community.

We are based at the Forston Clinic Dorchester, we cover West and North Dorset area with beautiful settings and countryside drives, providing care and support, in often very challenging situations. Full support and training will be given including Prevention & Management of Violence and Aggression (PMVA). Having good communication skills and a friendly approach are essential to this role.

Other skills you require are ability to use IT equipment and able to make clear written records for RiO notes. The role involves driving and so a Full UK driving license is essential.

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.

Intensive Community Support for Dementia West (ICSDW)

We are a dynamic team that’s aim is to keep people that have a diagnosis of dementia that are displaying behaviours that challenge at home or their Care Home were possible avoiding the need for a hospital admission.

ICSDW cover a large geographical area North and West Dorset. We are based at Forston Clinic, near Dorchester.

ICSDW has the use of 2 pool cars for visits, we encourage the use of these cars with the current price of fuel being high. You can use your own car and will be paid business milage for this.

There is plenty of opportunities for further training and this is actively encouraged. We are a friendly team and you will be fully supported in your role.
