- You will be providing financial, commercial support and constructive challenge to maximise the short
- and long term performance of the P&L. This role encompasses E2E P&L ownership; revenue, cost of sales, capex and TLR.- You will play a key part in decision making; influencing and driving change whilst business partnering the commercial, transformational, and operational teams to deliver the business strategy. You will need to provide financial analysis and advice to construct and shape commercials for existing and new propositions. The role will be fundamental in delivering its MTP ambitions.- The role will involve managing both a UK and International business over multiple products, some of which are bespoke to Media and Broadcast. You will manage billing in nine countries / currencies and engage multiple stakeholders across various Countries. The role also requires a key focus on people and efficiency with >200 dedicated employees working in BT Networks supporting the business. This requires excellent stakeholder management for trade interlocks and understanding to ensure efficient delivery and excellent customer service. There will also be a key focus on Major Managed Contracts with ensuring control and review of the Corporate Governance process.- You will manage a fast-paced bid environment working with key UK and global broadcasters, making quick decisions while understanding our cost base and our key competition to put the business in the best place to succeed.- The capex spend is complex and over a mix of new product development and long-term customer contracts. This will involve detailed business case review and investment decisions on what is best for the business. You will also interface and agree future plans with BT Digital.- You will be working in an exceptional and supportive team, and you will enjoy the full end-to-end experience, benefiting from exposure to great development opportunities.- We welcome conversations about job share, as well as other flexible working opportunities also.**You'll have the following responsibilities**
- Finance business partner for Media and Broadcast
- Provide financial and commercial advice on any major strategic investments, proposition, pricing or product launch, through building clear business cases which model sensitivity and scenario analysis.
- Compilation of detailed business reporting presented to senior leadership teams, including by customer and product views.
- Proactively track, manage, prioritise and advise all risks and opportunities, ensuring impacts quantified, mitigations addressed and plans implemented.
- Ownership of MTP forecasting, setting challenging targets and ensuring forecasting accuracy.
- Ownership and oversight of the month end process ensuring accurate reporting of results and providing business insight and commentary for Finance and Commercial teams.
- Ownership of outlooks and ensuring delivery and reliability of forecasting
- Cash management, including ensuring debt is collected and under control.
- Balance sheet management and control, including variance and ageing analysis reporting.
- Challenge thinking, ideas, performance, and activities, extracting both the why and how.
- Driving Cost Transformation agenda and following through to P&L
- Covering any necessary audit requirements
- Support and lead on any adhoc projects relating to the businesses
- Management of CAPEX and AICC balances.

**You'll have the following skills & experience**
- Financial Analysis: Oversees and reviews the financial and operational analysis for the business. Develops business cases that are robust and reflect real sensitivities and risks.
- Ability to challenge and question the business.
- Takes decisions and exercises own judgement well. Works with high level of authority on fairly complex issues, seeking appropriate support where necessary.
- Provides detailed feedback and insight to the business on its financial performance.
- Accounting: Understands and applies knowledge and understanding of company financial statements, accounting principles.
- Provides in-depth commentary that reflects understanding of wider operating environment
- Forecasting, Planning and Budgeting: Oversees and reviews forecast/budget at detailed level, demonstrating an understanding of their inter-relationship.
- Ability to work on multiple projects to tight timescales.
