Maintenance Supervisor

**Position: Maintenance Technician**

**Salary: £34,000 to £38,000**

**Purpose of Role**

We are looking for a working supervisor to oversee the quality and compliance levels maintenance arm of the Facilities department.

The role will have 360-degree responsibility for the quality and appearance of the Nursery chain and other relevant residential clients. The Supervisor will ensure that the service levels are continuously improved to offer market leading facilities to the end users and visitors.

**Duties**

Reporting to the Head of FM you will work closely with nursery managers and the construction team to ensure you and your team deliver great projects to the highest standards.
- You will be involved in the programming of works, labour management, supply chain and material procurement.
- Ownership for reactive and project works.
- You will be responsible for quality control and day to day management to achieve inviting buildings and garden spaces.
- You will direct and supervise to ensure your team are motivated, organised and compliant with site specific policies and procedures.
- You will undertake internal & external maintenance tasks at all Fennies sites working to a pre-planned schedule so must have a solid experience of low level multi trades.
- You will support the teams on the larger sites so must be competent in the general maintenance of grounds e.g. Grass cutting, clearing of debris, leaves, litter, hedge, weeding, lawn maintenance, jet washing, gutter & gully clearance and shrub trimming, etc.
- You will be driving company vehicles and transporting plant, machinery, and equipment. Again, offering a support system to the others in terms of large orders and deliveries of items such as sleepers, shingle and bark mulch
- Maintenance of records relating to tasks performed, timesheets, materials, vehicles and equipment
- Meeting assessors for annual risk assessments and working with the Head of FM to provide time sensitive closures for any actions.
- Writing Risk Assessments, Undertaking Toolbox talks and any H&S requirements relevant to the role.

**Skills Required**:
We are looking for an experienced Gardening or landscaping supervisor who is able to hit the ground running with a proactive approach to the ever-evolving landscapes.

Must have worked all 4 seasons and understands the periodic elements required around tree management, planting and plant management (especially watering) with a view to ensure market leading nursery spaces.

- Excellent customer liaison skills together with a commitment to customer service
- Knowledge of relevant health and safety legislation and safety procedures
- PA1/PA6 qualifications are desirable
- Hold or be willing to achieve DBS clearance
- Must hold valid driving licence
- Vehicle trailer license advantageous
