**Time commitment**: Part time, maximum of 7 hours per week to be worked Monday
- Friday.

**Remuneration**:£43.50 per hour

***We are seeking a registered optometrist to provide an optometric advice service to the GOC on a regular but ad hoc basis.

We are the regulator for the optical professions in the UK. Our purpose is to protect the public by promoting high standards of education, performance and conduct amongst opticians. We currently register around 32,000 optometrists, dispensing opticians, student opticians and optical businesses.

As well as helping us to protect the public via our fitness to practise process you may also contribute to the development of policies and other core functions. The work is challenging and varied and you will be able to share your knowledge and experience in support of the development of GOC staff.

We require a commitment of 28 to 35 hours per month to be worked Monday
- Friday. The successful applicant will generally work from home, with occasional working from the GOC offices (London). No additional payments for travel are included.
