Role Purpose

Primarily to provide financial administration support.

FTE Salary

SESSET 7 £29,291 - £31,810 (actual £24,276 - £26,364)

Hours: 32.5 hours per week (e.g., 8:30am - 3:30pm with ½ hour unpaid lunch), 42 weeks per year

Key Accountabilities
- Provide high quality advice on routine financial issues.
- To promote the most effective management of the school’s income and financial resources.
- Responsible for all financial record keeping, reporting to the Business Manager. This includes monthly reconciliation and general housekeeping of the accounting system.

Key Tasks
- Processing financial transactions including purchase orders and payment of invoices
- Inputting all financial data into the school’s finance system (PSF) in accordance with the school’s financial procedure.
- Communicating effectively with creditors and maintaining accurate records for monthly reporting

Therfield School
- Investigating invoice queries, arranging returns and ensuring that refunds or credit notes are received.
- Preparing BACS payment runs
- Administer the collection, recording and banking of all school monies.
- Issue reports on a regular basis to budget holders
- Reconcile bank statements each month
- Reconcile to MAT deadlines each month - assisting to start, will form part of job description after probation
- Assist in providing accurate information to the Business Manager for monthly and year end reports
- Manage all financial aspects of letting the school site

General
- Complying with all relevant legislation and statutory guidance in accordance with the role including the

Academy’s Financial Handbook.
- Continue to improve own skills and knowledge by attending relevant training or professional development opportunities and undertaking further relevant study if required for the role
- Undertake all other duties as necessary, and appropriate to the grade and as requested by the
