**Job overview**:
Salford's Integrated diabetes team are seeking a motivated individual to support the delivery of care to people with diabetes under this service. Working within a busy environment you will need to be organised, enthusiastic and will be fully supported to excel within this role.

Salford's diabetes team is a growing and forward-thinking service and is supported by a team of administrators working together to provide excellent care.

The post will be based at Swinton Gateway.

**Main duties of the job**:
The post holder will support the clinicians within the diabetes service with all administrative duties.
- Provides administrative and secretarial support to the multi-disciplinary diabetes team**.**:

- Liaise with other departments and external organisations
- Acts as a link between patient/carers and the clinical team
- Provide a comprehensive range of secretarial services to the team e.g scanning documents and referrals onto EPR, booking rooms, taking, typing and disseminating minutes of meetings and typing patient letters.
- Assists with planning and organising straightforward activities and complex programmes eg structured education programmes, education and training activities
- Plans and organises own time, manages filing systems
- Assist with diary management for the MDT including organisation of meetings with other professionals and services
- Regularly reviewing waiting lists for education and 1 to 1 appointment.

Responsible for access across IT systems including:

- PAS
- EPR
- eRS
- Patient Centre
- Medisec
