The Company
FSEW are leading the UK Logistics industry in decarbonising our fleet, by the end of 2024 we will have zero diesel vehicles and are exploring all alternative fuels, with Biomethane and EV vehicles already in use. The Position
As a UK Transport planner, you will be working within our UK Intermodal Department, we have Articulated vehicles, curtainsiders, and containers that we move via road and rail.
The responsibilities
**Handover with Night Person**- Deal with any issues overnight which has been passed onto the day shift which couldn’t be resolved overnight.
**Delivery Checks** - Utilizing the tracking system to ensure drivers are on time for all deliveries, updating customers on any delays and advise ETA’s. Following through with the updates to confirm drivers have arrived on site for any of the deliveries which are running late.
**Container checks - **Utilizing the different systems for checking on containers for delivery the following day, discharge times and clearances. Updating any customers on whether they’re deliveries will go ahead or not, chasing the international / customs department for any missing information such as pins and boxes not customs cleared.
**Planning the work for that day - **Following on from the initial delivery checks, ensuring all 2nd jobs are running on time and updating customers for any delays, changing jobs for drivers if the current schedule is not running to plan. Calling drivers to check if they delayed at their deliveries, informing customers of any delays and site and keeping an eye on waiting time and if customer will incur any extra costs.
**Updating system information** - Checking systems for any missing information, vehicle reg’s, Costs I.E rail / lift costs, filling in empty legs - Changes that happens live.
VBS’ for trampers for that day or early hours of the next day
Our Requirements
- Proven experience as a Transport Planner or in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and best practices
- Proficient in using transportation management software and systems
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills

**Salary**: £28,000.00-£31,900.00 per year
