**Senior QA Test Analyst**

A start up based in Macclesfield that creates a software product to seamlessly integrate physical security systems. After recently receiving funding the company is looking to expand rapidly to take advantage of their unique product.

**The Role**:
Woking withing the development team of permanent and contractor.Net engineers, the QA test analyst will be involved in the entire product lifecycle. The main tasks will be the design, documentation, preparation and exercise of test plans, defect tracking,creating and managing testing environments.

As the software integrates with physical security hardware, to effectively produce proper system testing requires working in the office/test lab with the hardware to hand. 3 days a week in the office in Macclesfield.

This role will be the first QA member of a new startup team, providing great opportunities to develop within the company.

**Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Creating and managing test environments
- Test hardware/software and VLAN environments
- Receiving, Deploying and configuring QA deployments of the software
- Define and implement both manual and automated tests.
- Ensuring that all testing activities are carried out in line with the agreed internal test plan / procedure, based on acceptable standard industry methodologies.
- Execution of tests and reporting of actual versus expected results
- Provide defect tracking through development lifecycle, using DevOps.
- Maintain dialogue and provide feedback to the development team and ensure the work is carried out in accordance with the schedule and the quality requirements
- To carry out testing with Partner businesses required

**Skills & Traits required**:
Essential
- Previous QA/3rd Line support experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft based computer systems, domains, networking and security.
- Experience of testing software systems based on SQL &.NET
- Credible experience in testing (or 3rd line support) and its role in achieving quality during the whole development life cycle.
- Proven writing/reporting skills (may ask for evidence during interview)

Desirable
- ISTQB Certification
- Experience working with a software product vendor
- Hands on experience with basic SQL commands and use of SQL visual studio
- Knowledge of hardware and message based systems

**Position details**:

- SALARY: £30,000 - 45,000 (dependent on skills/experience)
- LOCATION: Macclesfield, Cheshire (3 days/week in office approx.)
- WORKING HOURS: Monday to Friday 09.00hrs - 17.30hrs
