Post No. PSON003086 & POSN003087 - Child Pedestrian & Balance Bike Training Coordinator

Ensure the Child Pedestrian Training Scheme is delivered to year 2 pupils within allocated schools in line with the scheme structure provided by Newport City Council.

Adhere to both legal and Council processes with regards to health and safety with reference to the safety of volunteers and children.

Ensure all health and safety requirements and procedures are followed throughout training e.g adhering to the Child Pedestrian Training and Balance bike risk assessment, dynamically risk assessing sites when undertaking training in terms of weather, hazards etc.

Liaise with schools and organise the program within the schools across Newport.

You will be required to assist with the delivery of the wider road safety service and undertake other duties within the scope of the section.

Evaluate the schemes after completion which is then used to report back to the Welsh Assembly.
