**GENERAL DESCRIPTION**

Supporting the Senior Garment Technologist and the product development team in the creation and progress of all Alsico products. Creating and organising garment specifications and samples to meet critical path and customer deadlines. Ensuring that garment specifications are generated correctly and accurately to ultimately improve sample accuracy and specification queries.

**SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES**

The Assistant Garment Technologist is responsible for the following areas:

- Sample Development
- Creating and sending technical packs to relevant factories for all new styles
- Management and requesting of all sampling for all product groups utilising full supply base resources
- Approval and quality validation of White/Bronze, Silver, Gold samples and Bulk production
- Ensuring samples are right first time and on time
- Specification Development
- Efficient build of all product specifications
- Population of BOMS
- Producing technical drawings for garment specifications
- Resolving queries and amending relevant specifications of existing product
- Improving the consistency of specifications and terminology
- Product Development
- Attending fit sessions for all new product development
- Visiting overseas factories to review new product development

**KEY PERFORMANCE MEASURES**
- Achievement of all assigned critical path dates
- Improving sample turnarounds
- Accuracy of specifications and samples

**REPORTING LINES**

The position reports directly to the Senior Garment Technologist.

**KEY REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES**
- Experience within a garment technology or product development role essential
- Relevant qualifications and degree preferred
- Self-motivated, committed and interested in their work
- Excellent product technical ability and an understanding of garment construction
- Good eye for detail
- Excellent communication skills
- The ability to work well under pressure and manage your own time
- Excellent IT and Adobe skills including Illustrator
- Critical path management experience
- Working well within a team
- Adobe Illustrator skills beneficial
- Ability to travel independently within the U
- UK and overseas

**Salary**: £24,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
