Job Introduction
**Are you a Property Surveyor who is recently qualified or working towards your qualification? Do you have experience in providing good quality advice in relation to a variety of Landlord and Tenant Matters, including lease consultancy and property management? If so, we would love to hear from you.**
The purpose of this role is to assist with the delivery of the Estates Management function for the County Council’s mixed property portfolio. The role requires the ability to deal with Landlord and Tenant transactions, acquisition and disposal of property, as well as general property management activities such as the setting and maintaining of service charge budgets. The post holder will manage a caseload of a range of work, overseen by a senior member of the team.
- Under the supervision of the senior staff, provide professional advice on a full range of valuation and estate management issues, exploring options and making recommendations
- Play a key role in the management and use of the Council’s Corporate, Educational and Community portfolios, identifying opportunities and projects to maximise income from the Council’s commercial property portfolio and reduce expenditure, where appropriate.
The post attracts an additional market supplement of up to £8,750 per annum, which will be reviewed 18 months from the start date. Part-time hours will also be considered.

The Estates team works flexibly in order to meet the needs of its clients and external stakeholders, whilst ensuring a good work/life balance. The team can work from home if they wish with an expectation that one day a week is spent at our office in County Hall, Lewes.

Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
