The Supply Room is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable 1:1 Behaviour Mentor to join a dynamic team in a Basford school from January 2024. This position is ideal for an individual who has experience working with children with special educational needs and is ready to take on a challenging yet rewarding role.

As a 1:1 Behaviour Mentor, you will be working closely with a KS3 student who requires additional support for their social, emotional, and mental health needs. Your role will involve providing one-on-one mentoring and guidance, helping students navigate their way through challenging behaviours, and working closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure the student receives the tailored support they need.

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience working with young people and children with SEMH difficulties. Experience in de-escalation techniques and any SEN training would be highly advantageous. Additionally, childcare qualifications are desirable but not essential.
