**Job Description**:
**Your purpose will be**:
To maintain and organize the hotel's cellar, ensuring the efficient storage and rotation of beverages to support the hotel's bar, restaurant, and event operations.

**You will be accountable for**:
**Stock Management**:

- Receive deliveries of beverages, checking the accuracy and quality of goods.
- Store beverages in the appropriate manner, ensuring that products are kept in the best possible conditions to preserve quality.
- Rotate stock to ensure that older stock is used first, minimizing waste.
- Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or discrepancies to the relevant department.

**Maintenance & Cleanliness**:

- Keep the cellar and storage areas clean and free of debris.
- Ensure that all equipment, such as shelving and cooling systems, is in good working order.
- Report any damages or maintenance issues immediately.
- Safety & Compliance:

- Comply with all health and safety regulations, ensuring that the cellar is safe for both staff and products.
- Handle products safely, especially when using equipment to move heavy items.
- Comply with legal requirements regarding the storage and sale of alcoholic beverages.

**Support & Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with the bar and restaurant teams to ensure they have the stock they need.
- Assist in the preparation for events or large bookings, ensuring that required beverages are readily available.

**Offer suggestions for stock ordering based on observed trends or feedback from the hotel's F&B team.**

**Continuous Learning**:

- Stay updated with product knowledge, especially regarding wines, beers, and spirits.
- Attend training sessions and workshops as required.

**Other Duties**:

- Assist in periodic inventory counts.
- Work with suppliers and vendors as needed.
- Any other relevant duties as assigned by management.

**Qualifications**:
**What you will need to do in this role?**

**Essential**:

- Strong communication skills, both written & verbal.
- Confident and articulate able to build positive relationships at all levels
- Strong administration and organization skills with a proven ability to juggle many tasks simultaneously in a busy work environment and met deadlines.
- Great attention to detail, and focus on quality of work produced.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items.

**Desirable**:

- Experience of working in Cellar and/or wet stock related industry
- History of stock rotation/ stock management
- Basic understanding of cellar systems
- Good knowledge of Birch Street or similar stock management systems.
- 1-2 years’ Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
