**Our opportunity**:
We wish to appoint an exceptional Assistant Principal whose role will be to ensure that no student is ‘left behind’ and that all students, including the most vulnerable are engaged, attending school and are learning. The role will be pivotal in ensuring that the students attending Yewlands Academy have the best pastoral support and that barriers to learning are eliminated as far as possible allowing them to achieve the very best outcomes. The Assistant Principal will have oversight and support the implementation of an excellent CPL programme and with the Vice Principal for Curriculum, Learning and QA shape the model and provision of pedagogy across the academy. The role will ensure the safety and well being of all of our students. It goes without saying that we will support you, develop you and above all welcome you into our ambitious team and rapidly improving school.

**The role will focus upon**:

- Strategic leadership on Teaching and Learning within the academy and regularly reporting to all stakeholders across the academy.
- Ensure the teaching of a broad, structured and coherent curriculum.
- Overall responsibility for the delivery of the PSHE/ SMSC curriculum and ensure that it remains up to date with current legislation.
- Capturing and sharing best practice with colleagues.
