A large Arts and Heritage organisation in Central London is looking for a Interim Financial Accountant to start with them for 6 months in January. They can offer Hybrid working and flexible hours.

**Description**
- To support production of the financial accounts for the Group and its trusts and companies in accordance with the Charity SORP, to agreed deadlines, including all schedules, reconciliations and supporting information as required for audit purposes, includingliaison with internal staff and the auditors as required.
- Responsible for the month end close process/period close, including all required reconciliations (including VAT, Bank, Payroll, Intercompany and others), journals and reporting.
- To produce Group cashflow forecasts and monitor cash flows.
- Managing the Gift Aid process and submission of claims as required.
- To produce and submit monthly VAT returns and ensure tax compliance and provide advice on taxation.
- Maintain the fixed asset register ensuring disposals and additions are accurately recorded and prepare year end schedules and reconciliations.
- To develop and maintain effective control systems and procedures to ensure that complies with financial regulations and with internal and external audit recommendations.
- To support the Management Accountant and Head of Finance by undertaking specific projects and financial systems work.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with teams across the Museum.
- Identifying financial risks or issues as they arise and ensure these are recorded and actions taken to mitigate or manage them

**Job Offer**

£40k, 6 month FTC with the potential to go Perm depending on performance
