Do you have an established background in teaching and research relating to statistics, trial design, data analytics? Do you want to play a key role in establishing Bournemouth University as a world leading Centre of excellence in health and care research?

To succeed in this role, you will have a PhD in medical statistics or a closely related field. You will also have a very good understanding of advanced statistical methods (or modelling resource utilization) used in medical / technological research. You should have a strong interest in innovative methodologies (e.g. methods for causal inference from observational studies) and applied multidisciplinary health and care research (e.g. quality improvement methods).

There is an expectation that the individual appointed to this role will support the activities with the new and emerging Dorset CTU. In addition, there will be an expectation that you will provide mentorship to an enthusiastic collective of career young researchers within the Faculty and supervise PhD students.
